DIY Frank Pearls

This one's pretty easy once you get all the jewelry pieces... and maybe a power drill. The only problem is you'll probably be left with an abundance of extra stuff. If you're fond of thrift shops, you might be able to recycle something with similar findings.

Jumbo mardi gras beads are abundant and cheap - and usually long enough to make at least 3 necklaces for you and your friends. You'll want to cut a strand about 16" long for an average neck. Then (here's where you might want to drill a pilot hole), I attach some small eyehole screws (from the hardware store) into each end of the strand.

And the rest is pretty straight-forward. Choose a clasp you feel comfortable using and a bit of chain (I cut mine at 4").
