Commissions & FAQ

How do I place an order?
I am accepting a limited amount of commissions for the following items:
  •    Crim's Ascot ($50)
  •    Frank's Sweet T Corset ($90)
  •    Space Suits (Priced a la cart)
  •    Floorshow Boas ($125)
Please contact me (SewEccentric@yahoo.com) for lead times, shipping costs, etc.

How are your items priced?
I charge for [Materials]+[Labor]. Labor is literally my hourly rate based on my skills and experience. I do not add a profit mark-up (thus I cannot offer a quantity discount). If you choose to supply your own materials then I will only charge you for the labor.
As an independent maker I do not get paid for the hours I spend researching & drafting patterns, pattern-testing and making samples, shopping for supplies, marketing myself online, or maintaining my equipment, yet these things are all a significant part of my work. I'm always glad to share my knowledge and resources with people who choose to make their own costumes.

Where do you get your materials?
I strive to be as consistent as possible, but many options are no longer available. I go to great lengths to match my fabrics and buy the bolt when I can. I find a lot online - especially Etsy and eBay.

What if it doesn't fit?
If the garment does not coincide with the measurements provided I will exchange or refund it provided the costume is returned unworn and does not smell like smoke.  If the garment does not fit because you measured yourself poorly then I will consider an exchange or alterations on an individual case basis.

About me
The first time I saw Rocky was in September of 1987; my freshman year of high school.  Costumes in the local cast were a mixed bag - and I had limited exposure to what other casts looked like. I endeavored to be as accurate as I could. You can read more about my Rocky history on my Rocky Horror Wiki page
